Children's Miracle Network Champions Across America:
Ambassadors for Children's Hospitals

The Children’s Miracle Network Champions program honors remarkable children from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland who have triumphed despite severe medical challenges. For their courage and perseverance, the Champions have been selected as international ambassadors for the 17 million kids treated each year at Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.

In March 2008 these young ambassadors will travel to their nation’s capitols to share the message that their lives—and the lives of millions of children just like them—are better because of the tremendous work of children’s hospitals.  They will also spread the word by participating in the Children’s Miracle Network Celebration event at Walt Disney World.  Representatives from hospitals, sponsors and media partners along with celebrities all gather at the Celebration event to honor the children treated each year at Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.

The very fact that these Champion children are here to represent their countries in this international program is a testament to the importance of children’s hospitals.  With the help of their Children’s Miracle Network hospitals, a small boy received a new heart, a teenager was revived from a coma, and a young girl recovered from severe burns.  From pediatric cancer treatment and intensive care to walk-in clinics and child safety programs, these children’s hospitals provide specialized care that can’t be found anywhere else..
